La Fabuleuse Histoire de la Conquête de l'Eau
Ce docu-fiction est un hymne à la nature et retrace la fabuleuse histoire de la Conquête de l’eau par la construction légendaire de canaux appelé « bisses » et des barrages. Pour revivre cette incroyable saga, nous suivons Marius et ses deux enfants, Léo, 10 ans et Manon, 11 ans accompagné de Django, leur chien fidèle à travers une aventure familiale. Leur itinérance nous invitera dans un merveilleux voyage sur les traces de leur grand-père qui a participé à la construction des bisses et des barrages. Une histoire touchante avec une mère absente, dont les enfants attendent le retour, un récit héroïque et poétique avec des images d’archives rares qui rendent hommage et témoigne de cette époque glorieuse où les hommes ont conquis l’eau au péril de leur vie.

About the cinema
Independent and classified, Verbier cinema was built in 1956 by the architect Alexandre Bujard 1st, then operated by his son Pierre-Alex and Janine Bujard for more than 25 years, then by their eldest son Alexandre 2nd of the name which continues to perpetuate the family film tradition since 1998.
The 440-seat hall with a 150-seat balcony is one of a kind; its rococo style will evolve with its time without changing its look from the beginning despite several changes in projection techniques (abandoning the 35-min film in favor of a 4K digital projector and 3D) and sound (switching from stereo to Dolby 5.1 ). We are proud to be able to supplement our offer with seminars, conferences, one man shows, theater, birthday, and so many other events.
